Wow, just watched the movie. It was great. Sad, but had funny scenes too. I could not stand Harry Connick Jr.'s character. He was such a jerk! Who is he to make such comments about her losing her husband. Also, why did everyone think it was their place to tell her to move on. Let her grieve. She deserves to take all the time she wants to grieve for the loss of the love of her life. Do you know that statistics show it takes one year of grieving per every year of your marriage to get over a spouse's death? It doesn't seem that long, but it probably feels like eternity when you are the one grieving.
I also have to say that I absolutely love Gerard Butler. He is what all men should be. Plus, he has that hot Scottish accent. If you don't know who Gerard Butler is then look him up. He comes out on The Phantom of the Opera (2005), Timeline, 300, Attila, Dracula 2000, and of course P.S. I Love You. Whenever I write one of my stories, he is who I picture as my leading man (or Josh Turner). Hmmm, one guy is Scottish, one is Irish decent. Could it be I have a thing for guys with dark hair and light colored eyes?
Anyways, back to the movie. It is a very sad but cute movie. You may cry, but you are also guaranteed to laugh. I hope you watch it if you haven't already!
